Copper-clad steel strand wire is a bimetallic conductor made of a certain number of copper-clad steel single wires, combining the mechanical properties of steel with the high conductivity of copper corrosion resistance. Made by electroplating process, the copper-plated layer and steel are closely bonded in molecular form to produce bimetallic materials with the advantages of both metals. Copper steel conductors have comparable performance to bare copper in grounding applications and, due to their longer service life, have higher performance than galvanized steel in lightning protection.

Copper-clad steel conductor is made of a certain number of single-stranded copper-clad steel wires. They are widely used in high-frequency coaxial cables, electrified railways, subways, airports, network communications, and other places as ground wires in lightning protection grounding, anti-static grounding, power, and petrochemical systems. Standard copper cladding thicknesses result in a composite conductivity of 30% or 40% IACS.

High Conductivity (up to 70% and above)

High Tensile Strength
